60/365 – A Bridge Too Far

60/365 - A Bridge Too Far

My parents have lived near the Capilano Suspension Bridge for years, yet I’ve never actually been across until Monday. What a wild experience. It’s almost as high as the Statue of Liberty it’s VERY long and quite bouncy. Thankfully it’s also got a chain-link fence down the entire length to stop idiots like me from flying out. On the other side of the bridge there is also an Ewok style system of bridges and platforms that provide an amazing view of the valley and other visitors. Also going at the tail end of winter was a great idea. Very few tourists and the cold kept the ones that were there mostly quiet and low energy. When we initially went in we all commented on how bloody expensive it was ($25.00 each) yet after two and a half hours of hanging around looking at the sights I think we all realized that we got a good value out of it. Finally we had to leave to get back to pack and hop on the plane back to Edmonton. I must say thanks again to my Mom and Dad for hosting us rowdy bunch and lending us the Fluff Mobile for the week. And a big thanks to Alex and Ben for putting up with Sandy and I while we nic-fitted all weekend :)
